A consistent and threatening force entered the PBR in 1999 in the form of Justin McBride. This fierce competitor came out swinging and has continued to grow stronger every year in his journey to becoming both the 2005 & 2007 PBR BFTS World Champion. This same determination led him to compete in the 2003 World Finals only weeks after sustaining a punctured lung and two broken ribs during the Grand Rapids, MN event. McBride competed one year later in the 2004 World Finals with a broken ankle and narrowly missed the championship. McBride’s 2005 season started strong and ended even stronger by acquiring 17 top 10 finishes. Never slowing down, McBride triumphed over the 2005 season by capturing a record-tying six event titles and claiming the BFTS World Championship million dollar bonus.
