NATIONAL REINING HORSE ASSOCIATION

The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) was founded in 1966. It is a not for profit organization dedicated to promoting reining horses, and serves as the worldwide standard for the sport of reining. NRHA works to promote and encourage a public interest in agriculture and ranching. It hopes to develop suitable and proper standards of performance and judging, and to encourage better development and breeding of reining horses. As one of the most popular equine sport associations in the world, NRHA plans to continue distributing informational material to contestants and spectators to provide a better understanding of the reining horse show arena. The NRHA’s ultimate goal is to move the sport of reining into the international arena.
