Britt Bockius has passed through many different partners throughout the years, but his winning record remains a consistent fixture at the NFR. Bockius started out big in 1995 when he set the NFR team roping arena record with Doyle Gellerman, with a 3.8 second run and became the world champion runner up. In 1998, Bockius took over the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with partner Charles Pogue. With his spectacular performance during the season he was the regular season team roping heeling earnings leader, and once again, the world champion runner up. In 2004, Bockius and his current partner Steve Purcella began their winnings by finishing second in the world with $137,046 and placed second in the aggregate at the NFR earning $42,903. In 2005 Brockius and Purcella continued to take the competition by storm conquering the Pace Picante ProRodeo Classic in Dallas with a stellar time of 4.1 seconds.
Brockius is not just fast at team roping, but he is also quick to report that he has other hobbies as well. In his spare time he tries to include paintball, football, golf and farming pecans. His favorite traveling partner is his wife, Angie, and of course his ten-year-old horse named Senor Hot Wheels. In this fast passed event you better watch carefully so you don’t miss this speedy Cinch team roper.
