Personal
5-5, 145…Single…Got involved in rodeo through his dad and his first competition was in 1995…His father, Bryon, is a truck dispatcher, and his mother is Ellen. He has one sister, Candace…Nickname Macho Nacho…Sister gave him a green striped shirt for his birthday and told him it was too nice for him to wear to compete in. He ignored her advice and wore it at the College Finals to win the title, and then he wore it again in 2004 to win the DNCFR. It is now his lucky shirt…Grew his hair out in 2004 and then prior to Round 10 at the Wrangler NFR, he cut it off and donated it to Locks of Love…Was out the first half of the 2005 season after having surgery on his elbow. Got a new elbow brace made in Canada and then won the Calgary Stampede, moving up to 20th in the standings at the time…Rodeo idol is Ty Murray
