With brothers making the perfect pair, it will be hard for the Cooper twins not to succeed. Jake and Jim Cooper have been roping together since they were born, or at least since they can remember, and they qualified for their first NFR in 2007. With guidance from their father, rodeo-renowned calf roper Jimmie Cooper, who could ask for a better coach? After bringing his career to a quick stop for his family, Jimmie Cooper, was able to focus on getting his boys the training they needed to become outstanding team ropers. With Jake as header and Jim as heeler, the twins’ technique and exceptional teamwork earned them the title of 2004 Team Roping Rookies of the Year. These young ropers topped out their 2005 season with a terrific team display that secured them a win in the Denver Stock how and Rodeo and the Lovington Rodeo (Lovington, NM).  2007 turned out to be the duo's breakout year as the captured their frist NFR qualification and won over the fans during the event.

With their father, mother (Sheryl) and sister (Jill) backing them up, the boys’ main goal is to be world champions one day; a goal they know is every roper’s dream. They intend to make it…and the money that comes with it. As brothers, they feel they have an advantage because they get to practice and live with each other, which allows them to become a more effective team. Even though both Jake and Jim admit they fight like brothers, they still plan on roping together forever, or at least as long as they can stand it. Catch this Cinch dynamic duo as they rope their way into the 2008 NFR.
