TUF COOPER

At just nineteen years of age, Tuf Cooper has set the precedence for calf ropers for 2009.  There is no doubt in anybody’s mind that he could do it on his own, but fortunately he doesn’t have to. With a father like Roy Cooper and one of the greatest All-Around cowboys of all time, Trevor Brazile, as his brother-in-law he has had plenty of help learning from the best.  It started early, in 2005 at the Junior High Finals Rodeo in Gallup, New Mexico he won the All-Around cowboy title.  In 2006 he won the International Youth Finals Rodeo Tie-Down Champion and All-Around Champion.  2008 was his first year to compete in the PRCA and was named Tie-Down Roping Rookie of the Year as well as All-Around Rookie of the Year.  His first NFR Qualification was in 2008, the first year he competed at this level and placed third in the average, ending up 4th in the world, a big feat for an eighteen year old.  If that wasn’t enough of an accomplishment, Tuf also qualified for the National High School Finals Rodeo in July of 2008, all the while pursuing his first NFR qualification.  During his 2008 Rookie season he claimed 8 major tie-down roping victories to his name, including a win at the River City Roundup in Omaha, Nebraska.

2009 started off on a great note, with Tuf winning the short-go of the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo, ending up second in the average.  Cinch is proud to endorse such a young, incredibly talented cowboy.
